Business Office Administration online

A Business Office Administration Certificate or Associate Degree will give you the skills necessary to develop into a business professional.

Employers look to hire professionals who are familiar with basic business practices and technologies. SJVC’s online Business Office Administration program will prepare you for a wide range of business-related careers thanks to the mixture of foundational curriculum and specialized concentration coursework. Construction Management Degree online

Students in SJVC’s Construction Management program can go on to pursue careers as first line supervisors, estimators, foremen, construction managers, project managers, and site managers.

The job market for construction managers is strong, and employment is expected to grow 10% between 2018 and 2028, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.This is in part due to:

  • Population and business growth leading to the construction of new residences and buildings
  • The need to improve portions of national infrastructure
  • The growing popularity of retrofitting old buildings to be more energy efficient

Medical Billing and Coding online

The medical billing and coding industry is changing, and you’re poised to be at the forefront of this growing industry. In SJVC’s online Medical Billing and Coding program, you’ll receive a combination of theory and practical training to help you prepare for your career. Information Technology online

Our online Information Technology program, which is offered in an online format,  can preparehelp up-and-coming professionals forland a position in either the public or private sector as a network support specialist, computer user support specialist, information security specialist, and many other entry-level IT jobs.

Earning a Certificate or an Associate of Science in Information Technology can open the door to a large number of jobs in the fields of networking, IT security, and more. Depending on a student’s chosen program concentration and credential level, SJVC’s online Information Technology programs can prepare graduates for the following IT careers:

Medical Assisting

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 23 percent between 2018 and 2028, which amounts to nearly 154,900 new jobs nationwide¹. The BLS states multiple factors behind the growing demand for medical assistants, including the growth of the aging baby-boom population, increasing patient access to medical care, and the need for administrative and clinical healthcare support workers².

The nationwide job outlook for medical assistants is good, and it’s just as bright for California medical assistants. According to the BLS, California had the highest employment level for medical assistants in the United States in May 2018³. Some of the top-paying metropolitan areas for medical assistants in May 2018 were also found in California, per the BLS³, including:

  • Santa Cruz-Watsonville
  • San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara
