Electrical Technology
Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, and factories. (1) The San Joaquin Valley College Electrical Technology program teaches the skills needed to work with electrical systems and equipment in a safe, competent, and professional manner. Earn your Certificate of Completion in as few as 10 months.
Maintenance Technician
Maintenance technicians keep industrial equipment in working order by diagnosing and correcting issues before they cause damage. Technicians may troubleshoot equipment, repair or replace parts, and test machinery to check that it is operating properly. (2) Students at SJVC’s Maintenance Technician program in Modesto receive hands-on training that can help prepare them for industrial settings and can earn a Certificate of Completion in as few as 7 months.
