Clinical Medical Assisting
The Clinical Medical Assisting program at SJVC’s Lancaster campus is designed to provide students with clinical and administrative training that will help them perform best practices in medical offices, hospitals, emergency centers, and health clinics.
Through our program, you’ll gain top skills in a vast range of areas, including:
- Administering vital signs
- Scheduling appointments
- Completing insurance forms
- Updating electronic health records
- Gathering patient health information

Graduates may qualify for other certifications depending upon location and placement requirements. The College does not guarantee students will successfully pass these exams or be certified or licensed as a result of completing the program.

Pharmacy Technology
Our Pharmacy Technology program helps students develop basic skills in computer applications, prescription processing, clinical applications, and more. During your time at San Joaquin Valley College’s Pharmacy Technology program in Lancaster, you will receive hands-on training from our expert faculty in the knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures.
Students in the Pharmacy Technology program will learn how to:
- Manage inventory
- Prepare medication labels
- Process and fill prescriptions
- Enter patient information into advanced computer systems
- Provide customer service to patients in any pharmaceutical setting
In addition, you can earn a Certificate of Completion in as few as nine months or an Associate of Science degree in as little as fifteen months at a nearby campus or online. After graduating, you’ll also be eligible to apply for licensure with the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration technicians are responsible for the service, repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment. Their work environment can include anything from domestic and residential locations to commercial and industrial systems. The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) program in Lancaster are designed to meet the needs of beginner-level careers, as it teaches you foundational skills with a hands-on approach.
