San Joaquin Valley College (SJVC) is saddened by the closure of your Brightwood College campus, and understands that this is a difficult time for you. We care about you and your future.
Now you have an important choice to make about your college career. One option is to continue your education at a ACCJC/WASC accredited institution such as SJVC for your Certificate or Associate’s Degree.
SJVC will evaluate your transcripts and discuss options with you based on what credits will transfer to our programs. The first step is to fill out the form below, and an admissions advisor will reach out shortly to speak to you about your options.
If SJVC accepts one or more of your credits and you complete the same or similar program at SJVC, you may not qualify for the discharge of your federal loans.

Every student’s situation is different. A financial aid officer will set up a one-on-one meeting in order to provide you with the information needed to make an informed decision regarding your financial obligations.
A financial aid officer will evaluate your tuition paid and financial aid used at your prior institution to determine if you will incur additional charges or need additional federal student funding.
Note: Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
*Credential levels offered vary by campus and program.
