Q&A with Surgical Technology Faculty [VIDEO]

Happy surgical technology week! We chatted with a couple of Surgical Technology faculty members to learn more about life as a surgical technologist, cool things happening in the classroom, and skills needed to be successful in the field.  Hear what they have to say!

Mrs. Meggy Rodriguez

Mrs. Rodriguez is the Surgical Technology Program Director at the Fresno campus and has been with SJVC since 2015. She’s been in surgical technology since 2007, beginning her career in the mid-west where she was raised. Mrs. Rodriguez talks about the importance of being certified and her most memorable moment as a surgical tech.

Mr. Alfonso Martin, Jr

Mr. Alfonso Martin has been the Surgical Technology Clinical Site Coordinator at SJVC Temecula for over two years.  His passion for education came from his time in the military as an NCO (non-commissioned officer) teaching soldiers. His favorite thing about SJVC? The students of course!
