SJVC’s Fresno Aviation campus – located inside the Fresno – Yosemite International Airport – has been training future Airframe and Powerplant (A & P) mechanics and providing the aviation industry with quality graduates for more than 20 years.
Conveniently located near both the 168 and 180, our Fresno Aviation campus works hard to make sure students know that they are more than another face in the crowd. Our new students quickly learn that they are now part of a family – the SJVC family.
At SJVC’s Fresno Aviation campus, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and events, including:
In the Aviation Maintenance Technology program, students have the opportunity to work on both the body of aircraft and engines of all types and sizes. Equipment includes a model-sized jet engine called JetCat. With the JetCat, students get to run an actual jet engine and use real-time diagnostic readouts to troubleshoot the engine’s systems.
Our Aviation Maintenance Technology students also learn about electricity, fuel metering systems and sheet metal structures, in addition to hands-on training with propeller, turbine and jet engine systems.
