The Story of Our Founders
SJVC was founded by Shirley and Bob Perry, a passionate and hardworking couple who overcame the challenges of getting an education while working and raising a family. We welcome students from all walks of life. Our variety of classes, and combination of classroom, online, and hands-on learning are designed to support your priorities, not ours.
We have a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) advisory committee that works to give all students a voice and help them feel safe and included. This committee works with leadership to consider the impact of important issues on minority groups and educate our students about them.
