Employee Referral Program Policy

An incentive will be paid to any current employee for referral of a qualified applicant who is hired for an open position and completes 90 days of employment.


  1. Campus Management is only eligible to participate in positions outside their departments.
  2. Graduates are eligible for submission by an employee two years after graduation.
  3. Incentive payment will only be paid out to active employees.
  4. Incentive payment is based on successful completion of 90 days of employment from start date.
  5. Incentive payment to the employee is subject to applicable taxes and paid through payroll.
  6. The terms of this incentive plan are subject to change by the College at any time without previous notice.


  1. The referring employee must submit the name of the applicant at the time they apply for the position in Jobvite under the “refer a friend” tab on the site’s homepage. An email confirmation will be sent once successfully submitted.
  2. Referred applicants will have 6 months from the first time of submission to qualify for the Employee Referral Program.
  3. If the incentive pay is approved, the Administrative Assistant will process it through payroll the pay period following the successful completion of the 90 days of employment from start date.
  4. Referring employees will also qualify for the incentive pay if they have activated job alerts to their social media accounts and the hired applicant clicks on their shared link to apply.


  1. The College has designated a $200 incentive for those who successfully refer a candidate who is hired by SJVC and completes 90 days of employment from start date.
  2. All employee referrals are subject to final approval by the Campus Director/President.
