San Joaquin Valley College and its sister school, Carrington College, proudly partnered throughout 2025 to support Make-A-Wish® and the children and families it serves. As our campuses wrapped up their efforts this November, we reflected on a year filled with meaningful events, community connection, and moments of hope inspired by Wish Kids across our regions.
In September, Carrington College and SJVC united for an institution-wide digital fundraiser benefiting Make-A-Wish®. Students, faculty, and staff across all campuses came together to raise funds and awareness to help grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses. The fundraiser raised more than $19,709 from over 749 donors. SJVC and Carrington College’s owners, the Perry Family, generously donated an additional 10K to get the institutions to their 30K goal. This milestone event strengthened our growing partnership and demonstrated the impact we can make when we act together. Our Visalia, Phoenix, Temecula, and Boise campuses raised the most funds for their regions. They were able to present checks to their local chapters to conclude the digital fundraiser.
Our commitment continued earlier in the year with a joint contribution of $15,000 at the Gala of Wishes in Fresno in January 2025. From there, campuses across multiple states stepped up to support local Make-A-Wish chapters through a variety of community events.
- Our San Jose, San Leandro, and Pleasant Hill campuses participated in Walk for Wishes events.
- Our Boise campus proudly supported the Wishes Golf Tournament.
- Our Visalia and Fresno campuses joined the Fresno Hope Open Golf Tournament, reinforcing our dedication to local engagement.
To conclude our 2025 initiatives, our Spokane campus participated in a Happiness Hour event—closing the year with gratitude, celebration, and a renewed commitment to helping make more wishes come true.
Together, we are honored to help bring joy, strength, and hope to children who need it most. And as we look toward 2026, Carrington College and SJVC remain dedicated to expanding our relationship with Make-A-Wish® and the communities we serve. We look forward to kicking off the year at the 2026 Gala of Wishes in Fresno, CA where SJVC and Carrington College will act as the Presenting Sponsors.
