Information technology (IT) is one of the most popular and fastest-growing career fields. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow “faster than the average for all occupations” with about 488,500 new jobs expected over the next decade.¹ For aspiring IT professionals, San Joaquin Valley College’s online IT program can provide the first step toward a career in this field.

Students enrolled in our online IT program have the choice of earning either a Certificate of Completion or an Associate of Science degree, both of which can help up-and-coming professionals land a position in either the public or private sector as a network administrator, data security analyst, web developer, database specialist, and many other entry-level IT jobs.
