HVAC Schools, Classes and other training options
Most states require licensure and several certifications to qualify for employment. Most employers prefer to hire HVAC Technicians with formal training, but there are still cases where candidates complete formal apprenticeships.
HVAC schools offer a variety of classes that cover both theory and practical applications on actual HVAC equipment. In most cases HVAC courses count towards required training hours for state licensure and required certifications. Most HVAC classes prepare you to test for the EPA certification, AHRI, HVAC excellence and ICE certifications.
