New Jr. College opens career-training doors in Temecula

New campus doors opened to 61 students in Temecula on July 5th as San Joaquin Valley College opened its 12th campus.

"It is a privilege to set the example for future generations to come," says Kenny Campus, a recent Lakeside High School graduate who is now officially a SJVC Temecula Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant student.

Campus Director Robyn Whiles says, "It is an exciting time for our campus to welcome 61 students who are here to receive an education and preparation for a career. We have beautiful classrooms with state-of-the-art equipment and an experienced faculty ready to offer our students the best in career training."

The Temecula campus offers four programs: Administrative Health Care Management, Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant, Clinical Medical Assisting and Business Administration. Temecula is the southern-most of the private Junior college's career training campuses located in California. Other campuses in the area include Rancho Cucamonga and Hesperia. SJVC has been in business since 1977 and offers approximately 24 business, medical and technology programs in which graduates can earn an A.S. degree and/or certification, along with program-specific credentials. Degree-granting programs average about 14 months and certificate programs about six months.
