Bakersfield Campus Programs:
SJVC Bakersfield offers a wide variety of business, medical, and technical programs to help you advance your career. The business degrees available at our Bakersfield college are Business Administration and our Health Care Insurance Specialist program.
If you're interested in making a difference in your community you should consider our Criminal Justice program. This program prepares to work for the corrections side of the criminal justice system. You can also enroll in our Emergency Services and Safety Management program. This program can prepare you to work as a security officer in a variety of settings.
SJVC's Bakersfield campus also has a wide variety of medical programs available. If you're interested in becoming a Medical Assistant or a Lab Technician, SJVC Bakersfield has a program in Clinical and Administrative Medical Assisting. If you'd rather help people improve their smile, SJVC has programs for Dental Assisting. Not only that, but our Bakersfield location also offers classes for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Pharmacy Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology and Therapeutic Massage. With so many medical programs available, SJVC Bakersfield is great if you're interested in getting involved in the growing medical field.
If you're interested in technical courses, SJVC Bakersfield has courses in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVACR) as well as Industrial Technology. The HVACR program involves lessons about how to maintain and repair the climate control systems in buildings. Industrial Technology on the other hand, involves courses teaching electrical theory, power transmission systems, and fluid power systems.
